Terri grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and received a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development and a Master’s in Elementary Education, both from Auburn University.
She has taught learning disabled students, fifth grade, third grade, and more. Recently, she has enjoyed leading preschool music, children’s choir, and Sunday School right here at Providence Church! She also enjoyed many special years volunteering at her children’s elementary school working backstage and on sets for its 5th grade productions.
While teaching elementary school in Atlanta, she and husband Matt crossed paths at church. Now married almost 20 years, they have called Charleston home almost as long. They have two teenage daughters, Maggie and Kate, and a rescue pup, Archer.
Outside of work, Terri enjoys reading, photography, time on the beach, and exploring the world with her family.

In addition to her role as 4’s lead teacher, Janet serves as Providence Church Preschool’s Assistant Director.
Previously, she taught Pre-K at a private preschool in Pennsylvania for nine years. She also has prior experience with the three-year-old program and kindergarten. Janet earned her bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. Her membership with The National Association of Education for Young Children (NAEYC) is currently in excellent standing. Janet is passionate about her job and wants to foster a love of learning in all students.
Janet and her husband, Scott, moved to Daniel Island in July 2016. They have two grown children who are such joys in their life. In her spare time Janet enjoys being outside hiking or bike riding. She also enjoys traveling reading and spending time at the beach!
Janet believes that each child is special and unique with various talents and skills. Her goal is to help develop each child’s individuality by providing them with a fun, positive and nurturing environment!

Danielle graduated from Monmouth University with a B.S. in Special Education and spent several years teaching in NJ public schools until taking time off to stay home with her kids. She moved from New Jersey to Charleston in 2009 and lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband, three children, and two dogs (Cordelia) and (Tucker).
When not teaching you can usually find Danielle binge watching old tv shows with her kids. She also enjoys listening to music too loudly in her car and trying to keep her houseplants alive by ignoring them as much as possible.

Paula is from a small town in Oklahoma called Ada. She is married with two beautiful children named William and Naomi. Paula and her husband lived on Daniel Island before kids and knew it was somewhere they always wanted to come back to after children.
She have been in education for over 10 years and absolutely loves working with children of all ages.

Originally from western North Carolina, Vanessa and her family moved to Daniel Island in 2014. She has 2 daughters who have attended Providence Church Preschool, which is how she fell in love with the curriculum and community of the school! Vanessa started substitute teaching in 2022, which led her to a full time teaching position in 2023.
Vanessa’s background is in healthcare. She’s been a Registered Nurse for more than a decade, including pediatric experience. She has a Master's Degree in Education; nursing.

A South Carolina native and longtime Daniel Island resident, Ashley is a College of Charleston graduate in Hospitality and Tourism Management. After a decade working in Charleston’s event and wedding industry, she's gotten involved at Providence Church Preschool as a substitute teacher and serving on the Preschool Committee.

Kristin moved from Atlanta to Charleston in 2007 after earning her BA in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She previously worked as a lead teacher in a two-year-old classroom, as well as an ABA therapist for children with Autism.
Kristin and her husband have two energetic boys along with a beagle (Gir) and cat (Godzilla). They love to make the most of their home on Daniel Island. On most weekends you can find them kayaking, swimming, or going on hikes together.
Kristin’s youngest recently finished his last year at PCP and has joined his brother at Daniel Island School. She says they had had such a fantastic experience it led Kristin to want to be part of this wonderful team!

Loretta grew up in Western Pennsylvania, studied early childhood education and taught preschool for years. She is truly passionate about her work. Loretta enjoys spending time with her two adult children. She also loves yard work, reading, crafting, and helping others.
“I love my career choice, and I know the children receive part of my heart every year.”

Vanessa, known to some of the children as Nessa, is originally from Stuttgart, Germany, but moved to the USA in 1999. When she met her husband, she transferred to Charleston in 2006. They now have two energetic boys. Vanessa and her family are very active and love to be outside, go hiking, bike rides, anything with water, and read.
When Vanessa’s son attended Providence, she became familiar with the preschool and was a substitute teacher for a couple of years. In 2020 she became the teacher's assistant for the 3 year old class and truly enjoyed it.
“I love to connect with the children, see their eyes light up when they learn something new, and all this through play, craft, singing, etc! Their personalities are just precious and the preschool age is so much fun. I feel very honored and excited to meet the new children and parents (& the extended family).”

Charlene, known to most people as Chaz, is originally from Scotland and moved to America almost a decade ago.
She is a big lover of sensory play for kids and practices it at home with her own son Bash.

Jen was born in Australia but grew up in Connecticut. She and her family moved to Charleston from California. Having taught English in the Peace Corps, Jennifer is excited to be teaching again!
