Lenten Worship & Devotionals

The six Sundays of Lent are an opportunity to retreat from our forty days of fasting and contemplation and commune with joy. In the midst of our Lenten practices, our Sunday worship services will embrace this by focusing on promises we find in scripture. Eighties music fans might recognize our theme: “Promises, Promises … Why Do I Believe?” No, we won’t be singing the 1983 New Wave hit during worship, but we will be celebrating some of the covenants God makes with us.

As an adjunct to our worship together, we're pleased to offer the CBF-produced Emmanuel McCall Lenten Devotional. These wonderful reflections on God's Word include thought-provoking questions, prayers, and artwork.

During this contemplative season leading to Easter, our hope is that our hearts will be open to the call of God to speak, walk, and act justly ... and our faith, courage and boldness grow stronger.

As always, we hope to see you in Worship this Sunday! If you’d like to receive the daily Lenten devotion by email, click here. Or, if you‘d prefer a printed copy, please contact the church office.
