Illuminating the Way: Lessons in Discipleship

Our lessons in worship for the first weeks of fall will be Illuminating the Way: Lessons in Discipleship. We’ll walk along with Jesus as he makes his way toward Jerusalem, through stories told in the gospel of Luke. Following Jesus can be every bit as unpredictable as life itself, so we need to be ready for anything. This is why He tells us to "be dressed for action and have your lamps lit.” (Luke 12:35) Sometimes we’ll be among the crowds, and other times it will just be us with Jesus and his intimate friends. In this season after Pentecost, we will hear and witness some of what Jesus expects from people who are baptized in both water and fire. I hope you’ll come along, if you dare.
